THE ISLAND OF IBIZA
Ibizan architecture, influenced
by Phoenician, Roman and Moorish culture, has
been attracting many travellers ever since the
early 20th century. It was here that the architect
Le Corbusier developed his scale of proportions
“the modulor”. Josep Lluís Sert
who designed the famous development Punta Martinet
and Erwin Broner built landmark buildings on Ibiza.
Rolf Blakstad and Philippe Rotthier developed
their unique formal vocabulary that was influenced
by Ibizan architecture.
